Bodie is a look into the past. A relic of the California Gold Rush. When the gold became too expensive to extract everyone left their homes and belongings behind to start new lives elsewhere. Bodie is now a California State Park kept in "Arrested Decay". I have chosen to do many of the images I have in black and white as it shows the textures and light better. There is a sense of history expressed in black and white that color does not express as well.
